Trailer Thursdays – October 5

It’s once again time to take a look at some of the trailers that catch my as we look to the future to see what will entertain us in the coming months.

Last week, he had the trailer for Agatha Christie’s MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. This week, we have a trailer for another Christie adaptation. This time, it’s CROOKED HOUSE, a story about private detective Charles Hayward (Max Irons), who is invited to solve a gruesome crime where nobody is above suspicion, including Sophia (Stefanie Martini), his client and former lover.

The movie also stars Glenn Close, Christina Hendricks, Terrance Stamp and Gillian Anderson and should have a 2018 release.

We’re into October, which means the release of the second season of the Netflix series STRANGER THINGS is getting ready to drop. Here’s a new trailer for the season released yesterday.

The new season will be available to stream on Halloween.

With the new season of the CW’s DC Comics ARROWVERSE starting next week, they released a weird commercial for Big Belly Burger – the fast food joint of choice of the DC Universe – using clips from past seasons of the show.

Of course, recaps of the new seasons of Supergirl, Arrow, The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow will also begin here next week!

Speaking of DC Comics, we also got a tease of the first character from the third set of downloadable content for INJUSTICE 2 – The Atom!

Finally, Haley Joel Osment, Richard Armitage and Ahna O’Reilly star in SLEEPWALKER, about a grad student (O’Reilly) troubled by bouts of sleepwalking and disturbing nightmares. But when she wakes up after her first night of being monitored at a sleep study lab, the world she lives in seems to have changed in subtle, Twilight-Zone-esque ways.

Sleepwalker doesn’t seem to have a release date yet.
